Wilderness First Aid Training

Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. Students learn how to prevent some emergencies and what to do should one arise and help is not readily available. This course is designed for situations where help may take a long time to get to the patient.

This comprehensive 16 hour course meets the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and guidelines.

Course content includes:
Preparation and Assessment
Preventing and Caring for Injuries
Environmental Hazards
Biological Hazards
Medical Emergencies

THIS IS A 2 DAY EVENT!
Date and Time: September 9, 8 am – 5 pm and September 10, 9 am – 5 pm
Cost: $155 (includes both days of training)
Class Size: 25 maximum
Location: We have been assigned to the Gilland room at the front of the church campus (north side, facing University Drive)
Minimum age: 14

PREREQUISITE
Bring your CPR certification card with you. If you need a CPR certification, a special class will be held Saturday, September 9, 5 pm -7pm at the same location. Cost to add the class is only $25 as part of a bundle with the Wilderness First Aid Class. You can add this item when purchasing your class ticket.
